The introduction includes three new units – TX30M, TX35M, and TX40M. These new forklifts are an upgrade of UniCarriers’ Platinum TX-Series.

Available in 3,000, 3,500 and 4,000 pound capacities, the TX-M series forklifts feature electric power steering that eliminates the mechanical and hydraulic components from the previous series. It also increases energy efficiency and decreases steering effort.

A number of enhancements are offered including ramp hold for smoother operation on inclines, a low-maintenance automatic parking brake with “no effort required” design, five factory performance settings for more versatility and wider mast for better visibility.

The IP54 drive and pump motors are fully sealed to protect them from debris and moisture, decreasing maintenance while increasing operating reliability and uptime.

Options offered with the lifts include quad mast, drive-in-rack, foot direction pedal and forward or reverse activated blue spotlights.

The advantage of a 3-wheel electric-powered forklift over a 4-wheel style is its much smaller turning radius and its design that helps in lifting lighter loads. The 3-wheel drive lift can handle a load capacity of 1,000 to 2,500 kg.

The 3-wheel electric-powered forklifts are commonly used indoors in warehouses with smooth and flat floors. It works well in limited space.

The disadvantages of 3-wheel electric-powered forklifts are their limited range; decrease performance when used on rough terrains, and stability when turning.

Because they are ideal in limited space, these forklifts are commonly used in garden centers and building warehouses.
