This Thanksgiving, Let’s Actually Give Thanks!

For a lot of people, Thanksgiving Day means a day off from work, back-to-back football games, and, of course, turkey. Lots and lots of turkey.

But it’s also a day to reflect and give thanks for the good things that life has given us. Regardless of who you are or what you do for a living, life offers a rich tapestry of experiences and opportunities.

And while there are good days and bad days, every day we are above ground should be one we are grateful for. Here are some other things to give thanks for on this Thanksgiving Day.

Family and Friends

Thanksgiving marks the official start of the holiday season, which means you are likely to see the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” playing essentially non-stop from now until after New Years.

There’s a reason this 71-year-old movie is still endlessly popular: It’s message of the way family and friends give meaning to individual lives resonates in all of us. As Clarence, the angel, writes in in Geoge Baileys’ book, “Remember, George, no man is a failure who has friends.”

This year, let’s give thanks to the people who make our lives successful: Our family, our friends, our neighbors, and our co-workers.

Work and Industry

Right at this moment, the US economy is firing on all cylinders. The stock market is near an all-time high. Unemployment is at its lowest in nearly a decade. And there’s a genuine confidence among most business owners and workers alike that we’ve finally turned a corner and have fully recovered from the Great Recession that struck just nine years ago.

While economies tend to be cyclical and these good times may not last, let’s at least appreciate them while they are here. Let’s give thanks for our customers and clients, our vendors and suppliers, our employers and employees, and all the people who keep our businesses going strong.

Forklifts and Industrial Machinery

It may seem a little odd to be giving thanks for forklifts, power jacks, scissor lifts, and other types of industrial materials handling machinery. But at ForkliftAccessories.com, they are our livelihood.

These heavy machines are the reason we all are here. And the reason you are reading these words here today.

So this Thanksgiving, let’s give thanks for these helpful machines that make our lives easier, our businesses stronger, and our futures brighter.

Thanks to You

Finally, a very special thanks to you, our customers and supporters, for making this year, and every year, the best one yet.
